Strengthening Academic Collaboration with Chengdu University

            

The delegation of CMU’s senior administrators led by Associate Professor Rome  Chiranukrom, Acting Vice President for International Relations and Alumni Affairs , visited the Chengdu University (CU), People’s Republic of China, in order to attend the international conference “Innovation Competition for College Students of the Chengdu International Sister Cities Higher Education Alliance” and “The 3rd International Week”, hosted by CU during October 15 – 20, 2017.

 

On Monday, October 16, the CMU delegation were welcomed by Professor Dr. Wang  Qingyuan, President of Chengdu University, and other CU’s administrators and attended the opening ceremony of the conference. In this occasion, the CMU delegation also visited “CMU Thai Language and Culture Center”. Established since 2010, the Center has promoted the collaborative activities between both universities including students/staff exchange, information dissemination, and other academic activities. On Tuesday, October 17, Associate Professor Rome  Chiranukrom was invited to deliver speech on “Thailand 4.0 on Higher Education Reform” in “The 3rd International Week”.

Chiang Mai University and Chengdu University have a long-lasting relationship with various academic collaborations including official visits, student/staff exchange programs, collaborative degree programs, visiting scholars and etc. The visit of CMU’s executives provided a great opportunity for both sides in strengthening academic collaboration on the basis of mutual benefits and friendship.
